When you join the waitlist

When you continue with Google, Supabase verifies your identity and we receive your email and profile name. To join the waitlist, we ask you to confirm your name and provide your own phone number with a country code. We use these details to review access and contact you about your account. Providing a phone number does not subscribe you to promotional calls, SMS or WhatsApp messages. Earlier waitlist requests may also include a learning interest. Please don’t submit children’s personal details in this form.

When your family signs in

Parents can sign in with Google. Existing parent accounts can also use their email and password, with one-time recovery links sent through our email provider, Resend. Waitlist and approval notices are also sent through Resend. Google sign-in does not give access to your inbox or contacts. Parent-created learner accounts use a nickname, an age range, a username and password. When you add a learner, you confirm what lessons share with our AI providers, and we store that confirmation with its date and version. Family membership and teaching preferences are stored privately. Passwords are handled by Supabase Auth; they are not displayed to us or saved as readable text.

If you turn on secret pictures, Edny stores the three pictures you chose for each learner so you can show them again in Settings. Picture sign-in works only on a device you trusted: that device keeps a random code in a cookie used only for sign-in, and we store a one-way fingerprint of it for up to 180 days. On a trusted device, the kids sign-in page shows the first names of learners who have pictures. You can turn pictures off or forget trusted devices at any time.

During a lesson

Lessons run on Google’s Gemini API. Your child’s microphone audio, typed messages and the shared whiteboard are sent to Google so the AI teacher can respond and draw on the board. Homework you share in a lesson is processed by Google too. Pictures the AI teacher adds to the board are created with Google’s Gemini or found on Wikimedia Commons through a search of a few words. Lesson recording is switched off in our configuration; that does not mean providers keep no operational logs or transcripts. The classroom keeps its board in the current browser session. AI explanations can be mistaken.

After a lesson

For learner accounts, Edny keeps a short recap of each lesson for your family: the question your child typed to start, if they typed one, and for each practice task, the teacher’s question and goal, how many tries and hints it took, the teacher’s last judgement, the answer that judgement was about (what your child typed or chose, what they said as the AI teacher heard it, or their code; board work is only named), the teacher’s short explanation and, when the task practised a maths practice topic, which topic it was. For a chapter lesson, we also keep the selected objective, teaching languages and the version of its teaching material so a reconnect can continue consistently. Recaps don’t include voice recordings or the conversation itself. If your child says how a lesson felt, that is kept with its recap. You see recaps in your family space and can delete any of them; your child sees their last lesson in their own space. Recaps expire after 90 days and are deleted by scheduled cleanup. Service outages can delay deletion. Deletion removes recaps from live application records; database backups follow their separate retention policy. When your child starts a new lesson, the AI teacher receives a short summary of their last three recaps so it can build on them; that summary doesn’t include your child’s answers.

Maths practice progress

Parents turn on maths practice separately for each child. If you use Class 4 maths practice, Edny saves the selected mission, the current check, correctness, hints and declared help, whether a lesson record overlapped the check, incomplete support records, independent checks, review dates, learning-day counts and course lesson counts in your private family account. It does not save your typed check answers or add audio recordings. Parents can also save an ordered learning plan, optional family target dates, and a bounded history of recent plan changes. Removing a planned activity keeps its lesson and learning evidence. Resetting maths progress keeps parent-selected activities but clears obsolete revisits. Course progress stays until a parent resets it in the family space or requests account deletion. A parent’s own practice is kept separately from each child’s progress. These practice checks are not school grades.

Family-created lessons

When you create a lesson, your idea, teaching preferences, your learner’s age range and any homework question you confirmed are sent to Google’s Gemini API to prepare a draft. Please leave out private details. Your latest unfinished request is saved before preparation, so you can return after an interruption. It stays until you replace or discard it, or the learner account is deleted; resetting maths progress keeps this parent idea. Drafts, approved plans and up to 40 recent check outcomes per lesson are saved in your private family account. Your child sees approved lessons, without the original parent request. Parents can remove a lesson and its recap from the learning plan; overall maths progress remains until separately reset. When homework preparation is available, the selected page is sent to Google’s Gemini API for transcription. Original uploads are not kept in application storage. Extracted text and your correction stay in a private working page until you remove or replace it. Generating a draft makes a separate copy of your confirmed question in that saved request and lesson. Removing the working page does not remove those copies. Discard the saved request, remove homework text from each lesson, or remove the lesson to delete its copy. Generated lesson content may still contain details from the question; remove the lesson to delete that content too. Resetting maths progress keeps these parent materials. Learner deletion removes them from live application records; database backups and provider retention follow their separate policies. Homework reading and lesson drafting both use Google’s Gemini API; that does not mean zero provider retention. A check overlapping a recorded teacher lesson, or with declared help or a hint, is treated as supported practice. If the support history cannot be confirmed, the answer is saved as practice without independent credit. These rules also apply to other maths practice. The latest 32 submitted or replaced course checks keep the question, date, result and recorded help in a private history; typed answers are not stored. Authorised admins with reviewer access can see the learner’s name and saved check history to review a disputed result. Corrections keep the original result, review date, staff identity, reason and private staff notes. These review records can outlast the 32-check list; they remain until maths progress is reset or the account is deleted. Private recognitions keep their rule version and a small record of the checks behind them: topic, date, result and recorded help. These compact records can outlast the recent check list; they do not duplicate question wording, typed answers or board drawings. You and your child can see their recognitions. A reviewed correction may update them. Recognition records remain until maths progress is reset or the account is deleted. Earlier totals can remain without detailed records. Removing a family lesson removes its history link and any unfinished check from that lesson; its earlier check records, other course records and totals remain until you reset maths progress.

Parent observations

In Together, parents can save a topic, a short reminder and what they noticed during family practice. These notes are private to the parent space, separate for each child and for the parent’s own space. They are not sent to the AI teacher or used to assess learning, change progress or award recognition. Parents can edit or delete notes, or delete all notes for the selected learning space. Notes remain until deleted or the learner account is deleted; resetting maths progress keeps them. Deletion removes them from live application records. Database backups follow their separate retention policy. Please leave out medical and other sensitive details. Contact us below for an access or deletion request.

Access and choices

Classroom access requires approval. Joining the waitlist creates a limited account; it does not start a lesson or subscription. Parents manage their learner accounts and can pause their access. Sign out on shared devices. Edny does not use advertising trackers.

Questions and deletion requests

Contact edny@aiforhuman.ai to ask about your information, correct it, or request deletion. Before a wider launch, we will publish the final retention policy.
